It’s been a while since I’ve updated or even added any new recipes really, and the ones that I have been adding have had a very keto focus, mainly as I’ve been eating keto for the last few years. However my more recent cooking focus has been around BBQing, so much so that I’ve spun up a new BBQ section and will start adding in some of the recipes I’m trying along the way.
Where I still eat keto, I cannot promise all of the BBQ recipes will be keto safe (I’m deep into maintaining at this stage so don’t pay much attention to it). I’ve also added a small “New Bullshit” section (I gotta get my SEO somewhere right…) on the side bar and stopped the posts from showing on the main body so you won’t see it as much I guess.
Back on topic I’ve always wanted a smoker, which is what kicked this off really. So early last year I bought a basic electric one, just to get to grips with the different flavours from smoking woods and how best to blend them. It was a lot of fun but unfortunately this turned out to be a bit of a rabbit hole and I’ve since grabbed a ceramic kamado egg (Thanks Aldi!), some good quality lumpwood and if the weather permitted it I’d probably be out there cooking on the damn thing every day. It’s great to cook on from low & slow smoking all the way up to the high temp woodfired pizzas… Now I just need to build a shack out back…
